At the beginning of my illness I had what felt like a elephant sitting on the middle of chest (sternum area). I would get random shocks of pain especially when moving my body into certain positions such as bending over. In fact, you piqued my curiosity so I went on my patient portal and I had actually emailed my doctor back in June 2018 about
shooting chest pains and heaviness. This was after 2 years of antibiotics lol. This disease is crazy. He assures me in was not heart related. Further treatment did resolve the issue. I didn't have any problems for a couple years after that.
I started having chest pain again around the beginning of 2021. This time is was more constant and didn't depend on what way my body was contorted. It progressed and actually sent me to the ER back in July where they did a EKG and blood test checking for heart inflammation. All tests came back without issues. I'm pretty sure my chest wall pain/costochondritiris is bartonella related. The other day I was having a bit more chest pain and I became convinced it was endocarditis. I messaged my doctor and he put me back in place by informing me that if Bart was causing endocarditis I would be in congestive heart failure by now.
Okay, Okay...fair enough doc lol.
My chest pain has improved, though I still have it everyday, once I added in herbs specific for Bartonella.
My pain usually is along my sternum. Mostly on the left side of the sternum where the pectoral muscle connects to the sternum. Sometimes, it also hurts on both sides of my chest which is further evidence that it likely inflammation of the ribs in my opinion.
