Top Lyme docs in the US Northeast?

Hi all —

I’ve been dealing with an awful case of Lyme and Babesia for close to a decade. I’ve worked with several different ILADS doctors over the years and have tried many treatments — both pharmaceutical and herbal. After the latest treatment failure (I had to stop Dapsone because I got neuropathy) I am back to the drawing board again. It seems like whenever I find a treatment that works well I end up not being able to tolerate the side effects. So I’m on the lookout for some fresh, expert eyes.

Who are the top Lyme doctors in the Northeastern United States? Or, who would be the most experienced in treating the more complicated cases of late disseminated Lyme?

I may know of a name or two but would like to hear your perspectives. And I know that we aren’t supposed to list doctors names on the forum so I have tried to include my email here in case anyone has a name.

Any perspectives or feedback greatly appreciated.

Girlie— are there any treatments that you’ve done with Dr. J that have been especially helpful? Just curious.

And has anyone here been a patient of Dr. SP in Connecticut?

I think the treatment that helped the most was Dr J’s Bartonella/Persisters protocol.
(After we treated Babesia for 5/6 months)
I had some pretty bad herxes but most of my symptoms resolved during the 6 months I was on it.
That protocol was the very first time I actually herxed with fevers.

(I had treated under a LLND with abx prior to Dr J for about 3 years - but I had plateaued and still had several symptoms left after treatment was finished and he didn’t seem to have a good plan for me going forward)
