I hate to be predictable, but have you considered mast cell activation syndrome? It can be triggered by a variety of things, including seasonal allergens, mold, high-histamine foods, stress, exertion, temperature extremes, and herxes. An MCAS flare can begin with respiratory symptoms reminiscent of allergies, and then as the inflammatory response builds, grow to feel more like a viral illness, with fatigue, brain fog, aches, and other symptoms. Just a thought.
