Im starting the Buhner protocal and was wondering how often I should add more and how long it should take to get to the full doses. I know its different for everyone but for the people that started and completed the protocal, how long did it take you to reach full dose and also complete the protocal.

buhner says around 4 weeks as a guide going 25%>50%>75%>100%
i think i did exactly that when i first started a few years ago - but that was just taking knotweed, Andrographis and cats claw - was doable but did give me aching bones - which i now recognise as herx like reaction
this time around i felt i was more sensitive as had been ill longer and built up all sorts of odd symptoms - and this time i also did a more comprehensive protocol based on his 2nd edition of the book - healing lyme - so i went much slower -
there were also some herbs i had never taken before - so i introduced those one at a time to make sure i understood how they affected me - but while i was doing that i didn't increase the others as that would have confused things -
think it took 6montsh or more to get to max dose of all of them - i may have been able to do it quicker - but i was making small improvements along the way - and not suffering too much herx so i didn't mind

I thought his protocal for lyme included cats claw, knotweed, andrograhis and gou-teng, which other herbs are you referring to in his book?

there is quite a bit in his 2nd edition - including expanded protocols dependent on symptoms
the main new ones are Salvia M ( Dan Shen) and Uncaria Rhynchophylia ( Gau Teng)
my selection is below - mainly focussing on immune modulation and CNS inflammation -
numbers to the right are dose in ml - 4x per day
Chinese Skullcap root - 2
Uncaria Rhynchophylla - 4
Cordyceps Mycelium - 3
Salvia Miltiorrhiza root - 3.8
Uncaria tormentosa bark - 3
Kudzu root - 3
Licorice root – 0.5
