Thanks for posting, WBF. I have really been considering finally buying one, and this probably puts me into the "it's time to buy one" range. Have been pricing them for about a year.

Interesting article. I bought a IR sauna at the beginning of the Pandemic. It works pretty good. However, I think my gym's sauna, which is a normal sauna, is probably more effective as it gets much hotter. The little pop up IR sauna I bought only gets to 140 degrees. I still haven't went back to my gym as it is a globo gym (Gold's gym). Too many people there for my comfort until CV settles down. I have noticed intense exercise can produce a better killing/detox effect than my pop up IR sauna. Many think of PEM and mitochondrial dysfunction as hand in hand with Lyme. This is probably true for many, however, from my experience, I think the heating the body up to a high level plus the increased oxygen intake gets medication/herbs into places of the body it usually doesn't reach. I did this again two nights ago. I already hadn't been feeling great, but I decided to do a 25 minutes HIIT workout about an hour after taking herbs. During the workout I felt great. For an hour or two after I felt great. By that night, I was dying. Intense herx symptoms. This happens to me almost every time I do an intense aerobic exercise that gets me hot and sweaty (running included).

Vitamin C never induces a bowel movement for me. One time I took around 15,000 (buffered) grams over the course of the day while I was constipated and I still couldn't go. Mag Malate was hit or miss for me. Not sure how well it worked. Drinking a bottle of liquid citrate will do it. Make sure you are close to a bathroom. It may not be gentle. I only use it when I am very constipated.

Which multi-vitamins meet the criteria he puts out there?

I seem to be at a point in my illness where I simply can't detox fast enough. Any type of protocol sends me into the deep end quick. Has anybody else experienced this?

Have u tried TUDCA Lymie24? It's very potent for detox. Make sure to put it into capsules, it tastes nasty.

i have also tried dosing vitamin c to bowel tolerance - increasing by a gram per day and then a few grams a day until i got to 25-30grams and still no loose BM's - odd
did cause a herx like reaction - i think from killing gut bacteria mainly

my partner who got ill at the same time as me - but was partially better by this time got to around 5g and defo needed no more

Hey Rainy,

I imagine you are more knowledgeable about TUDCA than myself. Does it matter which brand you buy? Or is it okay to just buy a basic cheaper brand off Amazon?

For a few years, I've wanted to buy his course for patients, but I've not yet done so. Originally, it was $149 USD. Now, it's $199. Still, considering all the money we've all spent on various things, that's not a terrible price.

I like Dr. Walsh (he's an ND, not an MD), because he seems more grounded in evidence, versus some other alternative practitioners. I've posted about him previously, regarding detoxing.

It's hard to say but speaking about supplements in general, I've had some cheap brands that worked just as good and sometimes better than expensive brands.

I think the only time it makes sense to buy a more expensive brand is when they use some kind of technology that has studies behind it. For example there are some patented turmeric formulations that seem to absorb a lot better than the cheaper ones in studies.

TUDCA as far as I'm aware, comes in the same acid form for every brand. It's very well absorbed. It comes from UDCA (without a T) which is a pharmaceutical drug. But they bind it with Taurine and create TUDCA. Which increases absorption. It's funny because TUDCA isn't a pharmaceutical drug and it works better.

So in short, I don't see any reason to buy an expensive brand. The only thing I would avoid is if something is too good to be true (price wise) or if it seems like a shady brand for some reason.

Nutricost has their tudca on amazon, which is a pretty well known brand and somewhat affordable.
I use a brand I found on eBay called GoVitamins.
And I also used some random brand I forgot the name off.
I did not notice any difference between any of them.

You could do a taste test if you have doubts. It tastes like really bad and it lingers forever. It's hard to mistake for anything else.

The most reputable cheap brand on Amazon is Nutricost. I used Microbe Formulas TUDCA Plus. They changed the formula. Now, to get the original formula, you have to get the CellCore line Advanced TUDCA. CellCore is only available through a practitioner.
