Hoping you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Planning to have dinner with family this year. Will be the first time since the pandemic.

Lol - my mom and my aunt used to wear their sweat pants for the holiday dinners.
Iā€™ve never really enjoyed traditional turkey dinners (I know - weird) so never really ate that much.

Hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving and are able to tolerate and enjoy one day of "risky" food. My kids will are here, so I am going to give in tomorrow and give in a little, then hate myself Friday smile.

If I'm giving thanks, and I am, it first goes to my kids, and then to a lot of people I have never met - you. Have said this many times before, but I thank God for all of you on this site. You are appreciated, and I pray every day for healing for each of you.

Haha wild, yeah I know what you mean about risky food. My family usually never really believed my food restrictions so would always try to push something new and untested or something I knew to be not good for me every holiday. My mom has always been the exception and she was lamenting this year that because my mcas is so out of control she doesnā€™t even get to go heckle various turkey vendors on exactly which allergens they guarantee did not make it into on or around the turkey.

Hope you all enjoyed your day. I sure did. Best time Iā€™ve had in the last two years, and I felt good, too. It was so good being with family and laughing, talking, and eating together. The food was delicious. I got a little bit of everything I wanted and plates of food and dessert to take home. We took a big salad - romaine, mandarin oranges, pomegranate, feta, pecans, and onions. I had a plate of that for a light supper.

Got to hold the baby, bunnies, gerbils, and pet the dogsšŸ¤—. Soooo much fun. I was like a big kid when they brought the bunnies and gerbils out. I couldnā€™t believe how calm the animals were around all the noise and kids. A very Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.ā¤ļø

So far I bought some socks for mom and some silly socks for sisters they were both a couple dollars off. Does it count that I bought myself an audiobook? šŸ¤£. It was on sale!

I went to the outlet mall and looked around but didnā€™t buy anything there. I did buy an 18 ft gorilla ladder at Home Depot for $99 (reg $199). Hoping I can successfully use it. I will try it out soon. I am hoping the ladder will enable me to clean the gutters. Compacted and folded, I can carry it, but not sure how I well I can handle it extended and moving it around.

I am very small, but determined. So, weā€™ll see. Maybe I can hang some Christmas lights around the edge of the roof. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Yeah, I think thatā€™s what itā€™s called. It looks a lot like the Little Giant ladders, where you can configure them in different ways, but much cheaper, especially with the Black Friday deal.
