The Deep Places

A friend recommended this book. I've read Douthat's opinion pieces in the NYT from time to time, didnt realize he had lyme. He's a great writer. Saw a comment on a review that the book is "both beautifully depressing and inspirational at the same time". Will be starting it tonight, cat in lap, electric fireplace going, feeling a bit better today. My lord, what a relief when that pain lifts.

I also like the title, very melancholic.

OMG!!!! He looks just like my kitty that I had to put to sleep right after last Christmas. White with orange spots. Her hair was as soft as rabbit fur.
