Hi CalmLittleBuddha,
I don't really know the answer to your question but I do have some thoughts I want to share, for your safety.
I had surgery once and they sent me home with a bottle of something similar to oxy, probably a bit stronger but not by much. I rather not say what it was because I don't want to give people ideas but let me tell you, it was an interesting and careless week.
That might sound strange, but the point I'm trying to make is that these strong drugs are kind of like "fix all pills".
And that's not a good thing.
The reason I'm saying this is because with these kind of pills the "feeling great" part is so overwhelming, that many of our pains whether mentally of physically, just seem to disappear for a while.
They act on many receptors in the brain and body and it would take a novel to explain all they do.
So I don't think you will ever find out why, but the real question is, does it matter?
I'm not trying to lecture you but oxy can be addictive and I've seen too many people go downhill with them. I know you're just trying to figure out what the cause is, but I felt like letting you know that you might never know with these kind of "fix all pills". Please be careful and please don't keep using them if you don't have to.
I truly mean all of this in a nice way.
All the best and take care.
