Mods, how do I deactivate my account?

Sorry to see you go, Sunflower! Wishing you lots of lasting healing in the new year.

Perhaps Girlie knows more about this than I do, but I don't know how you could deactivate your account, nor do I know how to do so for you. I could ban your account, ban your IP address, or lock your account, but I'm not sure those are what you'd want.

I think usually people simply stop signing in when they want to take a break from the forum.

Chime in, Girlie, if you have advice!

But I think the only person who can delete the account is Peter (site owner)
But - I don’t think that erases all the previous posts.
I think the best thing is for you to contact Peter.

I don't think it's possible to delete your old posts, even if you no longer are a member, except by going back and deleting them one by one.

If you don't want to be contacted by anyone from here, then you can edit your profile to keep your email address hidden (or delete it entirely). You can edit your subscription settings to stop receiving updates about threads you have subscribed to, if any.

Most people who take a break from this forum or leave the forum just stop logging in. If that option doesn't feel final enough for you, then maybe the admin can help.
