Bailey - I didn't mean not to respond a few days ago when you were nice enough to check in. Thanks.
A post-COVID thought has hit me though, and I really wasn't thinking about it until it hit:
When others have COVID and get better, they feel normal, much better or good. I've realized with Lyme, it isn't the same, not to make this a group pity party. But it's been hard to wrap my head around the lasts couple of days.
While I feel so much better (hands/feet not AS cold, neuropathy not AS bad, fatigue not AS severe, it's all still there. It's the Lyme life. My friends, meaning well and putting out positives, will say " I'm glad you feel better again." This is the first time I've ben sick, other than Lyme, in many years. My mind went back to old thought when one would get sick, get better, then move back on to a normal life.
My mind told me it's time to get back. But back is now different than before Lyme was involved. Through television, movies, commercials, advertisements, etc.... the mind is trained to be back full when an illness is over. Just not the case here, though I do appreciate not having severe COVID when it hit.
Again, it's simply a psychological aspect I wasn't ready for after being "sick."
