Scary symptom believed to be from Lyme...

This has been extremely frustrating but have been having this symptom which from what I've read sounds exactly like Lyme carditis symptoms. Shortness of breath, pinching pains in the chest at times, fast heart rate(was irregular before 2 weeks of doxycycline treatment) and it's been 5 months since then and now feeling it become faster than usual. Doctors trying to dismiss my symptoms. Went to PCP and got quick EKG and they saw nothing back in November. I seem to get flares on and off and this one seems to be a real bad flare. Every flare I get all paranoid I have some serious blood infection and it really freaks me out. Dont get fevers but sweats chills neck pain sometimes, splitting headaches during flares. I just want a doctor to realize my first abx treatment was way too short and stop treating my like I'm mentally fried. I ate meat for the first time in forever yesterday and today I have the flare type thing.... So many other strange symptoms/feelings I get that must be the Lyme and/or co infections. Because bloodwork always only has been irregular for lymes and Epstein Barr.

many of us have cardiac arrhythmias of various forms with lyme and coinfections
often referred to as heart block or varying degrees - as beast are often suppressed or missed
but can also be rapid beats - and arrhythmic beats

from my reading its usually caused by inflammation in the heart tissue - which is why it often flares during treatment as inflammatory compounds are released

of course it can be serious and should not be ignored - but at the same time a large proportion of chronic lyme sufferers seem to get it to some degree and its rarely fatal.

if severe i would still advise finding someone who understands lyme and getting a proper EKG done - possibly one of the 48hr monitor types - if you keep going back explaining your concern they will probably refer you

what country are you in - as that makes a big difference to how the health systems treat lyme/suspected lyme patients
