Yes. It’s probably all of it.
I thought you were one who had mold exposure and I found where you posted your ERMI results.
First of all, I can relate to what you said. I have often wondered over the years if I was really as sick as I thought because sometimes I felt more functional. I remember packing my stuff and cleaning out my cubicle after I had to stop working. I stopped mainly because of mold. The office ERMI was similar to my house ERMI and neither were remotely as bad as yours. Still, it was clear I had become increasingly affected by mold. I had the CIRS labs, HLA-DR genetic susceptibilities, positive mycotoxin tests, and increasingly debilitating multiple chemical sensitivities that is often caused by mold exposure. As I left the office building, I wondered if I was really that sick and if I was making a mistake.
As far as Lyme/co, my life altering symptoms started in 2009, but I continued working and was functional but experiencing slow decline. The stress was high, as I could feel my body malfunctioning and still had no idea of the cause(s). A respiratory infection in 2015 sent me spiraling downward into disability. Late 2016, I found out I had mold illness. Early 2017, I had a positive test for Lyme and ehrlichia.
Here I am 5 years later and still debilitated. Living in my car for the 2nd time because I can’t live in a moldy building. Still suffering. Still in pain, but I have experienced some brief and notable improvements in the past 5 months.
I have waffled many times between Is it Mold, or Is it Bartonella. or Is is Parasites, or is Something Else? The answer - Yes. It’s all of it. I have viruses and mycoplasma and chlamydia p. I had mercury amalgams for years (removed 2018). I lived in an old house with old metal pipes and old paint and in the beginning had an old furnace that smelled like burning oil. I very likely have heavy metals and other toxins in addition to mycotoxins. Surely I have genetic detox issues.
I keep trying, keep praying, and keep experimenting to find what will help me. Finances are gone now, so I do the best I can for now.
My best advice is to 1st secure mold safe housing verified via an ERMI test. Then work on detoxing. Try things like TUDCA, Cholestyramine that could bring some relief. If you suspect heavy metals, include some binders for that. Using multiple binders can help bring down levels of mycotoxins, metals, and chemicals. Sauna is very helpful for many people and something I haven’t been able to do.
Then treat the microbes. Some suggest starting with parasites before treating Lyme/co. Don’t forget yeast. Most people with Lyme and those who have/had mold exposure have intestinal or systemic yeast issues. Rx works best for parasites and yeast, IMO.
It’s a balancing act. The more ways you can help your body at once, the better it seems to go. For some who are super sensitive, that’s really hard or impossible, so you have to listen to your body. Treating aspects in phases doesn’t seem to work as well. However, when treating with Rx, you can’t treat everything at once.
A practitioner who is skilled with all of it should be able to at least get you started doing something.
