My two cents:
Its kinda hard to tell which will have less side effects, since its really how your immune system reacts to it, lyme or not. It seem like moderna is known to be a little harsher even for the general population.
And is this a coincidence that the people Ive met who got covid while already vaxed had the pfizer vax? Just a small # so not enough for a study. They are more social than I am to though. Maybe is was why.
I had the two Modernas, no booster. My lyme is gone, but I have some autoimmune things that are mostly under control, the vax temporarily upset this, proven by higher antibody level after the vax, my doc tested this.
Vax#1 besides arm soreness (expected), I was severely fatigued for about
four days, good I planned ahead and made a long weekend away from work.
Vax#2, I learned from #1 and did this on a thurs, going back to work on Monday. The whole week after was a mental challenge cause the vax agitated my autoimmune so much, and I was very very stiff, almost similar to my lyme days. The soreness and autoimmune went to normal after almost one month. That was a long time. Oh well.
My advice is prepare for possible side effects, and if you work, plan time off ahead if you get vacation or pto days.
One Dr had no idea about
this possibility, one other seen variations of what happened.
That said, it was better than getting the first type of covid. This omincron version seems to be no big deal (just a cold Im told) unless your old and fragile. But the original variant is still out there too.
I dont go to inside bars and restaurants yet, your next to strangers for more than 5 min, seriously...why do that?
I do go to the gym mostly in off hours before close, clean everything before use, move around a lot, it has industrial height ceiling (more air volume), and they cranked up the air exchange. The two little gyms that were 50% treadmills, with low office ceilings (in retail buildings) closed up. Gone, RIP. Those were prob germ factories too.
