Interesting Garzie, thank you. Yes I did some looking around yesterday too, trying to learn more about
this approach of dealing with parasites. Seems like there are some strong opinions on it.
I do think there is truth to it actually, but maybe not to the extreme some people take it.
I'm actually considering trying an anti-parasitic just to see what happens.
I found this online:
"The most common and effective treatment for a whipworm infection is an antiparasitic medication, such as albendazole and mebendazole. This type of medication gets rid of any whipworms and whipworm eggs in the body. The medication usually needs to be taken for one to three days. Side effects are minimal."
https://www.healthline.com/health/whipworm-infectionIn animals fenbendazole seems to be a big one, although I know some people take it too.
Also, I hope you don't mind me bringing this up, but I would feel really guilty if I kept it from you. I remember you spoke with someone about
rectal prolapses and it says on the page above that it can actually cause that (a whipworm infection). So I just wanted to share that with you.
It also says "frequent defecation" which I personally have. It's really frustrating actually because I can't figure out why. I also urinate a ton but don't have diabetes. I know Bartonella infects the bladder so that one concerns me less than the frequent defecation. Which I don't have an explanation for. Although now that I read that I might give one of the -azoles a try. Probably the ones mentioned in the link above but I have to look into it a bit more.
