that said i very much doubt extreme pain in limbs/joints is thyroid related - general aches and pains maybe, cold, fatigued etc definitely - not so much extreme localised pain
Hi Garzie thanks for responding to my need for help
I went from working out last week and being fine, then one day having blurry vision. The next, slight depression and fatigue. First I thought it was lyme so I took some disulfiram at a small dose. I respond really well to disulfiram and get a herx the next day. I did not. But then, I started to get joint pain. I've always had joint pain in my arms, it just went worse. I went on a trip, and when I came back, because I couldn't sleep, I crashed in bed. I woke up unable to lift my left arm and pain in my shoulder.
trying to figure it out because I was taking Kratom with Disulfiram I googled "Kratom and Thyroid"
and found this

I was an everyday user of Kratom for years and years and like everybody, I thought it helped save my life from addiction, pain, fatigue and depression...While I was taking Kratom I've had numerous blood labs done and the results were always the same. My thyroid was barely "working" and barely producing hormones, which btw is neccesary for almost every cell in your body and has a direct link to your adrenal gland as well. They put me on a daily regimen of levothyroxine which is a medicine which helps your thyroid to produce. I was told this was a life long medication and my thyroid would never "heal". Turns out after quitting Kratom for a while. My blood test and t3 and t4 results were perfectly normal and fine and this was after I ran out of medication for over a month and a half. My cortisol levels were back to normal, when on K, they were 3 times the normal lvl. Mostly from an overworked adrenal gland. Testosterone is seriously affected as well, but that's for another convo or a previous post. Extreme, multi joint pain, adrenal fatigue, low sex hormones, tendon and ligament deterioration can all be attributed to long term kratom use. I'm talking, like me, 4 to 5 years plus is when I really started to feel off physically. A lot of my current MRI and xrays I have turn out as similar to a person almost twice my age. Before K, and during most of my time on it, I worked out 6 times a week, looked great and had no problems physically that I was aware of. Be careful guys with long term use. K messes up your hormone balance in so many places and truth be told, balanced hormones are one of the most important parts of your biology as a healthy human being. Just some food for thought.....God Bless u all and stay clean off the sludgy green!
...and before my lyme doctor put me on thyroid medication after successful DSF treatment and then took me off
I'm just stuck not knowing what to do
I can order the Thyroid panels at least.
Just wondering if there is anything I can do to get relief in the short term today or this week
If I go to a regular doctor, they will make me do the MD -> specialist -> labs -> satanic clown tick tok dance and "it's all in your head we can only give you SSRI" bs
