Interesting to see a real research Dr doing this:

There is of course more up to date info on his work, you tube, and a possible EBV vaccine

Ive tested for EBV many times. Apparently the regular test is worthless in many cases and ebv hides out in B cells.

The vaccine would have to be given fairly early in life considering it's ease of transmission.

But would be awesome if it worked. Since EBV is a latent virus after initial infection and seems to activate after a stressful immune event I have to wonder how effective a vaccine would be. If the virus gets in the body at all would it be too late?

I have no idea, but I hope it works out for future generations.

I'm not sure of the current status of that vaccine (article is from a few years back). But Moderna has an mRNA candidate recruiting for Phase 1 clinical trial:

...and I just found this one too:

Still many years to go before any possibly get to market. Maybe there's a chance those of us who are already "infected" can be helped??

bear in mind EBV and lyme antibodies cross react so it will not be possible to tell from serology if you have some kind of EBV reactivation or lyme cross reacting and giving EBV positive serology - or visa versa

ref the vacines for it - i did hear a knowledgeable guy in the field suggest that since we know 1 or more mRNA vaccines work - and are safe - that there is at least the potential to blanket approve all on some kind of ultra fast track on the basis that only the mRNA sequence injected will be different each time.
