Mycotoxin urine test while having a "female" infection

My new LLMD wanted me to redo my mycotoxin urine test with Real Time Labs. about 6 months ago I did one through Great Plains with my former LLMD with not much flagged.

I just want to get this upcoming mycotoxin test done and out of the way, my new LLMD is really pushing me to do it. Due to the large amount of $ put down for my new LLMD visit, supplements, meds and Igenex the last several weeks I wanted to wait and save $ but my father luckily offered to pay. I timed it obviously when I wasn't menstruating to get accuracy and I'm due to take the test in 1 week.

I believe I have either a bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection. I'll be calling my Ob/Gyn tomorrow for cultures.

Hypothetically speaking, a vaginal infection wouldn't throw off a mycotoxin urine test could it? I know, sounds like a stupid question and probably a given NO.

Bacterial vaginosis would not change the results, but yeast seems like it could. I would call the lab and ask directly. Sorry you are dealing with something additional!

I was going to email my LLMD as well, she's great and very quick responding.

This isn't unfortunately my first "rodeo" with yeast and BV infections. Even before entering lyme treatment a few years ago I was getting both frequently. I've been back on abx for a few weeks now so of course it could very well be a yeast infection.

So doc said most likely is Bacterial vaginosis. She called in the script anyway ( gel insert) and I've been using it the last 2 nights. She just called to say my BV and yeast results are normal. ***.
I guess that's good to know so now I can move in to the urine mycotoxin test sooner and get it over with.

That's strange! BV has a distinctive smell, so it's surprising that a doctor who has encountered it before would guess incorrectly. I'm glad you had the insert instead of systemic drugs, to minimize disruption elsewhere. Are your symptoms continuing?

In cased everyone wasn't aware just thought that I'd share that most bacterial vagnosis or "unspecified bv
and bv like symptoms cases are actually mycoplasma or ureaplasma especially if someone keeps getting bv even though you're doing all the "right things" I've never been tested for either but thought about testing because I seemed to have gotten bv quite a bit. Also my urethra inside will get inflamed. Everytime I've went to obgyn they'd sy my pain is in uterus bt nope my pain is more in bladder bt inside the urethra if anyone can relate lol. When I pee it doesn't actually hurt when the pee is coming out bt rather within in the urethra if that makes sense. I especially knew something was just off when they gave me metronidazole for bv and also Bactrim for uti, because I had symptoms of both and both antibiotics weren't working which makes me thin it can possibly be something else. Hope this helps someone!

The last few exams and cultures I've been normal. Is in a way this doesn't surprise me that this time again things are neg. It always seems right after my period.

I don't know anymore....my body and life is a mess.
