I woke up last night with vertigo in my sleep.

I have had Lyme plus? For over 15 years.
I had vertigo about twelve years ago.

I recently started treating g again bc new tick bite as well as wanting to start treatment to get rid of fog and joint issues.

Treatment is cefuroximr and herbs. Green dragon caps: andrographis, knotweed and cats claw.

Vertigo was my most anxiety inducing symptom and here it is.

Why now?
1) new Lyme infection digging in
2) old Lyme stirring up
3) other
My son has a fever and pain behind his eyes yesterday. And a child on his team just got diagnosed w Covid)
I had a bit of a sore throat for a couple mornings.

This is hard . Can I drive my kids to school? Work? Drive at all. Scared to even stand up.

After getting up I am ok.
The vertigo occurs when laying down and rolling over.
I also have back of head stiffness.

So many things it could be
Here
Covid
New Lyme old Lyme
Bart…
This is why I stopped treating . Not any better than not treating. Worse. Sigh.
Couldn’t take my kids to school.don’t want to drive.
Wow is me.

Ps. Is cefuroxime plus herbs good for recent Lyme infection. Tick was positive for Lyme and was burrowed inside me.

treating can bring up old symptoms - or new ones - due to inflammatory response to treatment / herx
so it could be that

if you are saying you were bitten by a tick again recently and that tick tested positive for tick borne pathogens - then of course that could cause symptoms also.

longstanding infections can take multi drug combos/long durations to get under control
i would say its early days yet

Can you test for COVID? Any kind of pathogen that causes a fever (assuming your child was near you while he was contagious) could stir up vertigo. I would assume the cause is a virus since you have been exposed recently, but of course you and Garzie are right that it could be from treatment - herxing or side effects - as well as from a new tick-borne infection....

Sorry it isn't more clear-cut! I hope it passes very fast. Vertigo is the worst!

Bummer it disrupts your sleep. On the safe side if it doesn't happen while standing, ....then you wont hit the floor. Wish I had some helpful info.

Before treating lyme, I had that weekly, while vertical. Would happen out of the blue. I had to get horizontal (couch, floor, dirt, car/truck seats whatever) when that happened. Happened while driving a few times 20 years ago...sunk down in the seat while pulling over at the same time as to not crash. Also while riding a motorcycle (even more fun [not]).

Luckily it only came back while treating a couple times. Mostly I had POT symptoms then, just overall dizzy, less than vertigo.
