Make sure there’s no current mold exposure. Mold exposure can cause dementia type symptoms. I moved into my car April of last year. My mother still lives in the house. Just since the end of last year (5-6 mths), her memory has gotten much worse. Every day I have to remind her that I can’t go in the house because she forgets. Many days she asks if we ate breakfast/lunch. She can’t remember where or what she ate.
My first mold doctor told me that older people are affected more in the brain and cognitively, while younger people tend to have more physical symptoms.
Oh, I’m dreading the possibility of it being mold
we’ve moved out of multiple places due to mold. We’ve had to move in with family and really don’t have other options.
I don’t think it’s a major issue here, because I’d smell it and notice it immediately. But there’s stuff like lots of old books and clothes ina couple do the rooms that have that dusty/musty scent to them.
We did do Real Time Labs recently and the results weren’t anything crazy, according to our LLMD.
He’s younger, but has had almost dementia like symptoms in the past, when we were in a really bad mold situation.
It’s hard to figure out what circumstances could have been happening. It’s been bad on and off for about
a year when he got mold exposure for about
a month last year. It was somewhat bad then, but then got much more worse beginning of this year. He doesn’t remember some things we did less than a year ago. I know taking 3 weeks of azithromycin back in February almost literally destroyed him.
Super sorry to hear about
your mom’s cognitive challenges! That’s so hard to watch. You are incredible for making the courageous decision to live in your car. We have considered tent living In the past.
