Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say it's been about
4 years of being mostly Lyme symptom free. In 2018, after 2 years of treating with herbs/antibiotics, (mostly herbs though) I did cold laser therapy, and I've been to function pretty much normally since then. I got Lyme in 2009, so I had it for a long time. I'm just so thankful to God that I finally have been able to feel normal, but I don't know exactly which treatment made me turn the corner.
Since 2018, I've been working on maintaining my health and continuing my education. I still had some annoying digestive issues (gas, bloating, stomach cramps), that didn't totally resolve until 2020, and I've had occasional relapses of possibly babesia symptoms, but overall I've been pretty good, except for bouts of severe seasonal allergies when I travel back to CT. I got an associates' degree and am now working on my bachelors'. Starting in 2019, I started to go running regularly.
The past year has been pretty stressful as I navigated a move and new surroundings. I was pretty good health-wise until I came down with pericarditis in April. My cardiologist thinks it was from the covid booster shot, and I agree, because I was feeling fine at the time that I got sick, other than chest pain that became unbearable when I tried to lie down.
I'm hoping that it is just a vaccine reaction, and will go away with time, because I've been trying to get a tiny bit competitive with running, and I was getting a lot faster until February, when I got the booster shot, when all of a sudden I started getting slower and slower. Now I am taking time off from cardio, to let the heart inflammation go down.
