Starting xylitol and lactoferrin, any experiences?

that's interesting Bailey- lactoferrin is one of the markers for gut inflammation used in many stool tests - mine is always very high

presumably the body is making it to try to deal with inflammation in the gut - and adding more in the form of a supplement may actually have some supportive effects -

i'm tempted to try this as my gut issues have flared since getting a virus a few weeks ago and i'm having trouble calming it down

bro, Girlie, or anyone that has experience with Xylitol and Dr. J,

Is there are a brand of xylitol that is recommended? I noticed the xylitol on the hand out sheet I was given has been discontinued.

i'm not being treated by him - but in his videos he says he chose to use xylitol over enzymes for biofilms - because its just a pure substance and so is not subject to the controversies over which brand works best or enzymatic potency - of this brand or that - any brand of xylitol works fine

I get mine from the local health food store.
It’s NOW brand

You could prob order it from Amazon.

One last question on this Girlie,

I wasn't advised on timing of taking xylitol/lactoferrin. Is there a specific time we are supposed to take these? Hours beforr or after food? Shortly before? With food?

I took it first thing in the morning with the lactoferrin.
Stirred it in a 1/2 glass of water. It doesn’t really dissolve very well.
Then after taking them I would take the abx with breakfast

Both my son and I (different LLMDs) took 500 mg lactoferrin 2.5 tsp xylitol. May have to work up to that. It took my son many months. We took it once a day Mon, tuesday and weds of protocol. I think the idea is that the bacteria is released from biofilm and then you want abx on board after to kill it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had been prescribed 2tsp xylitol and 500mg lactoferrin for the first 7 days of my treatment cycle. This is my first time go around with their biofilm protocol. I already wasn't feeling good before I started this part of treatment, but this part really wrecked me. So much inflammation and my fatigue is bone crushing. It sucks when I get feeling this bad. When all you can do is lay around I feel like my body feels more "toxic". Movement, especially exercise, helps keep me balanced. When I can't do that it's game over.

I'll continue to detox and hopefully improve some soon. I have two more treatment days left in this 1st cycle and then I'll get a two week break. I'm on a 2 week on 2 week off cycle. I can't wait for this 2 week off. Hopefully I recover a bit cause I have to move in 11 days.

My go to was warm Epsom salt baths.
If you do have a tub - maybe try it.
It would give me a few hours of relief from the burning back pain.
I would fill the tub and lay back so it was soaking in the Epsom salt water.

Okay - you’ve prob posted several times about it - and I’ve forgotten.

I didn’t get lasting relief - but a few hours was better than nothing.

Of course survive is relative. I felt okay the first 2 or 3 days of treatment, but days 4-7 of the first week were terrible. On the Thurs/FRI Fluconazole and Flagyl were added and I hit rock bottom at that point. Lots of inflammation, neuro symptoms, zero energy, can't concentrate or do anything, but lay down and suffer, feelings of depression/hopelessness.

I feel a little bit better today. I've been able to get off the couch, vacuum, take dogs for walk, and put up some cloths today. That's a win lol, but, it's about 3:30 in the afternoon here and I can feel myself slipping.

Totally agree.

That's the double edged sword of treatment I've never been able to figure out the entire time I've been dealing with this illness. I function best when I am able to be active, increase body temp, exercise, move the blood and lymph. In treatment, sometimes I can't do crap except lay on the couch and do nothing. This makes me feel more "toxic" and the it snowballs from there. When I get in this state I detox consistently, but can't seem to keep up.

I can not wait until the two off weeks.
