If someone just answers and says yes or no that’ll tell me if my post is a phantom post or if it’s actually working and you can reply.

Yes phantom posts are real things when forums are not working correctly, software issue

This forum sometimes acts like a Dodge/Chrysler /Jeep /Fiat product.

You car knowledgeable/ mechanic type people out there know exact what I’m talking about lol!!

i'm with you on both the forum acting up and the Jeep/Chrysler/fiat thing

that post had 3 or 4 replies and i can still see them if i press the back button on my browser - but for some reason the whole thread is missing from the recent posts page

The Stephen Buhner post on mitochondrial dysfunction. Had 2 replies deleted last night.

There’s absolutely nothing unacceptable in those replies to be deleted.

Some of my replies are gone too. My guess is that maybe something went wrong and they had to restore a database backup that wasn't current...

Someone also told me there was a major internet outage in Canada today.

This forum definitely needs a brand new forum software...

My comment that I wrote to Girlie is now gone too. I was wondering if Minocycline is not recommended during a heatwave due to potential SJS syndrome or other skin related side effects. Thanks!

That’s a good question I would think that would be similar with the other cyclines.

I was only worried about Doxy and staying out of the sun in the summertime

Biaxin is the Doxy Summersun replacement. This is kind of standard among LLM D’s.

Anthony22, Steven’s-Johnson Syndrome is due to an adverse reaction to a medication. I unfortunately almost lost my life after taking a black box warning drug prescribed by a well known LLMD.

The drug was a CNS drug Lamictal.. while in the ICU, the nurses told me another drug known to cause SJS is the antibiotic Bactrim.

This is not to say that the majority will will have this problem when taking these drugs. However, it is helpful to be aware of black box warnings.

Margarita I'm sorry to hear about your near death experience due to an adverse reaction to a medication. Did you actually get the SJS on your body? How severe was it and did it resolve on its own after a while or how did you cure it? SJS is a very scary syndrome for sure.

Yes I totally agree. Never underestimate a Black Box Warning. They're there for a reason... A potentially lethal one that is.

If your so-called LLMD doesn't even take the time to ask you for any pre-existing health conditions and then proceeds to precribe you a medication that has a BLACK BOX WARNING then change LLMD's immediately! Your current LLMD is jeopardizing your health!

My case was about as severe as it gets. I had SJS/TENS on 90% of my body. I spent 2 weeks in the IcU of a medical center’s burn unit. It is a miracle I survived.. had it not been for the care I received and the love of family and friends , I wouldn’t be here. Total recovery time took one year.



While in no way is this a commentary on another’s choice of doctor or treatment, I learned that even the most renowned Lyme doctors don’t have it all figured out. I also learned that antibiotics provably wouldn’t be a good choice for me.
