My sister’s neurological issues

With DNRS limbic system retraining, it can be common to have a bad emotional reaction around week two or three, as your brain fights back against being rewired. That happens with any kind of brain rewiring programs - be it for TBI, stroke, etc. - so I would think it's a risk with a lot of programs your sister may need, unfortunately. It's recommended to push through this. (My LLMD was at a conference with Annie Hopper while I was in that phase and actually discussed it with her.) Is there a way you and a therapist could support her through this phase? It was extremely difficult for me, as I recall, but after week three I felt much better, and by week four, I was loads better in almost every symptom area. I understand that it can be very triggering, though, and very tempting to quit. I suspect this is why so few people seem to stick with the program long enough to see results.

My partner works with a somatic therapist - a mental health therapist trained in mind-body medicine - as well as a biodynamic craniosacral therapist, who help him work through all the connections between his brain patterns and physical symptoms.

Another option that comes to mind is the Curable chronic pain app. (It works for chronic illnesses, not just pain - I spoke with the creators extensively about this.) It rewires the neural pathways that perpetuate symptoms as well, but in a less direct way than DNRS, and involves some really excellent educational components I wish everyone could hear, plus brain exercises, meditations, and writing exercises. Usually there's a free trial available that she could start with for the app. (Curable Groups seem cool, too, but are very expensive.)
