Sudden change to vision

Im confused. lack of info here. First off, do you only have a single strength lens Rx?

Bury vision close-up is called farsightedness since it assume you can see better further away. So those people need magnification for close up which is "+", then the power #.

Forgive me for stating the obvious, +3 is more magnified then +1.

But you are asking about "-" glasses power. ? And your mentioning only one power.

Most people with glasses by 50 years need a dual power perscription for "old school" bifocals. For close up in the lower and far away in the upper field of vision. Or they use the modern progressive lenses that make you move your head to much.

(Trades people on ladders looking up in the air get the opposite for work, an upside down bi-focal).

(Personally I prefer to move my eyes vs my neck/head.)

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the confusion. I am very much nearsighted. I wear air optix night and day contacts with a negative 9 power or at least that is what the box says. Recently my eyes improved to a negative 8 power. I first noticed it when I would look in the mirror everything would be blurry. Now I am noticing changes close up and far away. I can’t wear bifocals due to dizziness so I where cheaters over my contacts to see up close especially for reading or on my computer. The negative 8 prescription is working pretty good for most things but not reading or my computer. I guess my biggest concern is what is causing this? Normally when weird things happen it is Lyme related. When I looked into vision suddenly getting better most articles say diabetes. I’ve been checking my blood sugar and blood pressure m. They are bother perfectly normal.
