Hi everyone,
I'm new here. It is a great active forum and very helpful.
While I am on Bühner and some other science based herbs/oils, this morning I received some strange advice.
And while I have not tested it out myself, which I certainly will, I thought let me share it before I forget.
I was informed that putting yoghurt on your body, and wrapping it in foil, for several days, should help against Lyme.
I was told it should work in just a matter of days. Now, I have no clue whether this works only in early/acute stage or later as well.
One thing I do know from personal experience is that once a relative was in the hospital and caught anti-biotic resistant
bacteria, I googled for science and found out about
Manuka honey. We also knew that in some countries when people poison stray dogs, some people save the animals by feeding them yoghurt. It takes the poison out. I don't know the scientific mechanism, only that it works in practice. So we gave my relative in the hospital both Manuka honey (strong one) and home made honey (to eat) several times each day. She left the hospital without the anti-biotic resistant bacteria.
So basically, I don't find this yoghurt-on-your-body idea that strange. I'm just wondering whether it works at any stage or just very early on.
I wanted to share it here, just in case I forget to update you lads.
Since I am doing multiple things against Lyme at once, we can't be sure in the end what worked (if something works).
I will buy 2 types of yoghurt in the store, to mix multiple strains. That's how I used to make yoghurt many years ago.
Kinds regards,
UPDATE
From another person I got a message saying, yoghurt tends to work well with many insect bytes, perhaps it also is a miracle stuff against Lyme. Well, if this is the logic behind it I get a bit more doubts about
it since Lyme is a whole different game based on what I know about
the bacteria now. But I still will give this a try.
I think the acidity of whatever, might also create very unfavorable environment for Lyme. Who knows.
UPDATE 2
This is more intended to be used like native Americans do with infections,.... like putting a herbal paste on your skin and renewing the paste at X interval. Not wrapping your skin continuously and several days on end. It would be a terrible idea to keep your body wrapped for multiple days and suffocate it. You skin needs to, and MUST, breathe.
I don't know what is a responsible period of time to keep the paste/yoghurt on the skin. I presume 45 minutes max. But will try to find some info about that as well. I do know without the wrapping yoghurt does dry out very fast on the skin. I'll try a small body part first to see how that goes. I also don't think it makes sense to read this post, and everyone thinks "Oh let me try that too." It makes more sense to have a few people try it out and report back their findings. If it does not work for several people we could indeed ditch it.
