Smoked cheese I have found I've reacted to in the past, sadly. I sometimes can tolerate smaller amounts but can't consume it regularly due to histamine. I also tend to keep a lot of foods in, even if I slightly react, because I think your body desensitizes and it makes it worse (but I'm talking like, if I flush and bloat with something I'll keep it in vs something like a migraine or worse reaction I would not). So just to say I actually eat a decent variety of cheeses including extra old cheddar, though I typically try to stick to mozza and goat cheese because they are not aged, and yeah despite that I have noticed reactions to applewood. Maybe try some fresh cheeses instead to see if you tolerate it any better, and I agree tomato sauce might be good to avoid for a little bit. I really like using pesto sauces instead for pasta - bonus, basil has antihistamine properties
With cromolyn sodium, I've been able to add in a lot more foods and am tolerating tomatoes again. Might be something to consider. I also noticed though they say CS only works in the gut, it really helped my systemic symptoms such as body and joint pain, if you have that.
