Can I use my regular dentist for a cavity

I went to a biological dentist to replace my amalgam filling but if I have a new cavity can I use my regular dentist for a filling or crown?

They have non-metallic options. Ask before your appointment if they have that.

Ask for details, the front desk people might not know.

Example- a structural pin or build up under a new crown is separate from the crown, but sometimes needed. Ask if that can be non metallic as well.

I go to a regular dentist.
I also never got my silver amalgams replaced.
