Hi,
So I haven't been around in a while, Lyme is gone and have been very busy.
This fall, everyone in my community has had some type of contagious illness causing cough, congestion and sinus infections. No one that I know is seriously ill, and it's definitely not covid.
I had a bad sinus infection and cough that responded very well to augmentin, but as soon as I finished the 7 days, the congestion came back.
Now I feel like I'm drowning in phlegm but no fever and I don't feel especially sick, except I feel like I have brain fog and difficulty making decisions. The other thing is I suddenly have bruises all over my legs for no reason.
I'm wondering if this is mycoplasma pneumoniae or a different bacterial infection. (I'm assuming bacterial because the antibiotic helped.)
I'm probably going to go back to the doctor and ask for a test. I've been so busy, I forgot all about
it, except that I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I'm drowning in phlegm. Honestly, for me, covid was a lot easier
