What are some of the common drugs I should expect to be prescribed in Jemsek's Bartonella/Persister protocol?

I'm trying to do some research for insurance coverage purposes.

They have patients sign a form saying they wont share protocols but some of the drugs I took during Bart persisters have been Rifabutin/Rifampin, Cipro, Omnicef, flagyl and Bactrim. Thats as far as abx go, there's herbs etc. in addition during treatment. Other patients may have had a few tweaks that include a different antibiotic or two, depending on allergies and reactions. Some will take dapsone.

Dapsone
Daraprim (Pyramethamine)
Rifabutin
Ceftin
Minocycline
Azithromycin
Bactrim

He does prescribe the fluoroquinolones but if you don’t want to take that class of meds - he will substitute Rifabutin. That’s what I did.

Thanks y'all. Looks like most stuff is generic. The insurance plan I'm looking at has cheap generic drugs, but balloons high when buying brand name drugs. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't any brand name surprises.

I see him and was just at his new office last week. I have had a recent flare/relapse after over 2 years of being off abx (really happy about the 2 year achievement), and was prescribed amoxicillin for the first time actually. But I believe it is due to my lyme being active right now and not so much targeting persisters, but more of treating it like it is acute.

Drugs that tend to be pricey are mepron or malarone. Insurance will often refuse to cover those, even generics.

Mepron alinia and iv meds are where you probably will run into insurance issues.
