I have found little to no information on lung symptoms in correlation to Lyme.

On a daily basis, I have lung "soreness" (like I've been coughing non-stop for a long time), bronchial irritation (feels like I need to cough), coughing up phlegm (not as much as I would if I had a cold/respiratory illness), and sometimes a heavy sensation in my chest. I am coughing a lot in the evenings. Feels like something is inflamed.

May be worth noting that Banderol (Otoba Bark) is making it worse. Otoba is supposedly key for killing Lyme.

Does anyone else experience lung-related symptoms? Or am I the only one. I only found one study where a Lyme
+ man experienced diaphragm paralysis. I have wondered if the issue with my lungs is not specifically Lyme but is actually a different chronic infection that is being uprooted by the Banderol.

Are you exposed to mold? Mold illness produces symptoms very similar to Lyme disease, and those with Lyme disease seem to be disproportionately affected by mold illness.

When referring to other infections, it could be mycoplasma. It is a nasty bug-especially what it can do in the brain and in terms of mood.

Another vote to look into mold. The lung issues you describe are very common with mold exposure.

Thanks for the recommendation to look into mold. When I was younger (maybe about 11-12 years ago), I lived in a home that we believe had mold. Myself and several of my family members experienced recurring fevers. But I never had any chronic symptoms after we left that house.

lyme and co's disrupt the immune system - so they can open the door for other infections to get in

eg community acquired bacterial infections like mycoplasma - as mentioned above
or other infections like chlamydia t

sounds to me like that is perhaps what's going on

i would get the sputum cultured and see if they can determine what's going on that way

cpnhelp.org explains the lung involvement with this much looked over coinfection. it is not the std but if you or your mother ever had pneumonia you may wanna research and treat accordingly. fortunately much of lyme and bart treatment covers some its forms .

actual diaphragm atrophy is a real symptom of lyme bart and cpn . the MS people call it the ms hug . persons with Als misdiagnosis often get put on a ventilator at the end because of this . look into nerve rebuilding and the patricia kane protocol after you knock back the infections. at the beginning, i had 9 systemic infections hurting my nerves and everything else . keep digging keep pushing you may need more than 1 doc and otoba. try adding teasel or andrographis or allicin maybe

Thanks for mentioning this. I have had pneumonia as a young child and walking pneumonia about five years ago. I wonder if my body didn't get rid of all of the infection.

Alsmith, given your health history it is completely plausible mycoplasma was never completely cleared by your immune system. If you believe that treating LD is a practice of unburdening the body of infection acquired over time, as I do, it makes sense that you would experience an uptick in these symptoms.
