I had to be somewhat careful drinking coffee with caffeine in the last 10 years - prob due to touchy adrenals. Just a little to much gave me jitters, and would increase my blood glucose (using home meter).
As of the last few months, this is no longer the case.
My blood sugar was also lower so far in the AM even before coffee. It has (was?) lingered in the per-diabetes levels quite a while.
Hope this continues.
Ive had some auto and house related stress (both were winter related mechanical issues) to deal with, so...im surprised of my caffeine tolerance.
hmmm.....
Aha yes the adrenals . I used to chug coffee and iced coffee etc. I was always fine until 1 day, off of just 2 sips, my heart rate went up and felt a little on edge and anxious. Also the tremors. Turns out alcohol , antibiotics, and CAFFINE (soda and coffee, sugar ) deplete our bodies of b1 (thiamine) and also cause magnesium deficiency. Not to mention makes us more dehydrated. Turns out I was so b1 deficient, maybe from too much coffee daily or abx , that I was getting tremors and more anxiety after coffee or any caffeine. Now I'm OK that alive taken the b1. Now caffeine isn't an issue and also adrenal fatigue did cause this for me when it came to caffeine so good for you that you're able to have coffee now!
