Short-term Disability for Lyme?

Does anyone have any experience applying for short-term disability for chronic Lyme? I was initially diagnosed as acute by urgent care in January, but reclassified as chronic since then. I did not test positive according to CDC testing standards and I am worried that will disqualify me. I have used all my sick and vacation hours, hoping I would be ready to go back to work by now, but now realizing my brain is so dysfunctional I would be more of a detriment than a benefit to my project. Any advice on filling out the forms, best diagnosis codes to use to expedite approval, or anything else of import is most welcome. Thanks!

There was a post withing the last three weeks on getting full-time disability (USA SS benies).

The diagnosis needs to be changed from anything lyme to what your symptoms actually are like: energy, cognitive decline, physical limitations ect. related. The correct wording of these needs to be used.

And it takes three times usually for SS disability in front of a judge. Short term disability is usually private insurance but i'de guess they play by the same "rules".

Thanks! I’m really hoping short-term disability won’t be as difficult to get as long-term or SSI. I’m going to get the paperwork filled out tomorrow and we’ll see where it goes from there. I’ll let you know if I learn anything new in the process.
