seems like Galaxy may have got the nanotrap urine test for lyme working

Hey Garzie, yes that's interesting I think she said the urine tests might also be promising in other targets like Babesia and Rickettsia.

yep - using the borrelia test as proof of concept - they will then work on expanding the repertoire of tests using this approach - maybe even multiplex the tests - so they can test for several at once to help with costs

my understanding is the microbeads used in the nanotrap are a means of enriching the sample - to try and get over the sensitivity hurdle most tick born tests have.

the original version of the nanotrap test released by another company some years ago was discontinued after it was not found to be good at detecting other strains or the borrelial burgdorferi sl complex - eg European strains - i have not read any of galaxy's literature on this version - but i would hope they have overcome that issue
