I remember the past there were more people here than myself with vitiligo which is an autoimmune skin pigmentation condition very common with thyroid disease which both can be generated from a total body infection such as tick infections .

Just curious Astro, do you take treatment for your vitiligo and is it helpful? I don’t have the condition, but have Hashis. I have an aunt who has both.

No, because there's never been a successful treatment for it untill, possibly, this one which I just found out about.

There was another cream years ago that had 20% success, unfortunately It did nothing for me -Betamethadone 17-valerate.

The "UV" light treatment is a waste of time and $ from what I Dr told me.

Im naturally slightly tan skin shade, so whiter vitiligo is visible on me even in the winter months. Its on my chin which is a little annoying, most assume its a scar of some type.

Dont care about it on my knuckles. If I were young enough to go shirtless.... boating ect or went swimming, beach volleyball ect ,...well.... my back is now 1/3 white. It would burn very easy.

Lucky for me, I think shirtless adult men even in good shape look kinda getto/ridiculous in public, unless your in the water. I always at least ware a sleeveless athletic T even in an outdoor beachwear environment.

Good to hear your preference for attire outdoors doesn’t interfere with the skin condition.

I have been thinking a lot about how I’m going to manage dressing for warmer temps this summer. Warmer weather is in store for us next week. I’m not too excited to give up the long sleeve shirts and pants. Kind of terrified actually.

Luckily I don’t have vitiligo on my legs, Very few do. None on my arms so far either (fingers crossed ). I have a little on the back and sides of my neck. So if I’m at some sunny outdoor event or fishing in the sun, I usually ware a vented wide cowboy hat.

One thing I miss about not wearing jackets when it warms up, they are a good place for a guy to put a wallet and cell phone, key chain ect., versus in your pants pockets. Cargo shorts are great for that though, but apparently they define you as old today, oh well!!

I hope we have a cooler or more normal summer versus the last two hot ones.

Lol

They still sell them - even in the younger people’s stores.
And I have seen younger men wearing them.

My husband wears shorts from April through September and for work he needs all those pockets.
