I have lyme, bartonella, and babesia. I was taking antibiotics for almost 2 years but plateaued and felt pretty bad after a while on them, so I stopped taking them. I have been trying to take herbs for months now, introducing one at a time, but its not working for me. I have such trouble tolerating even 1 drop a day of any herb, it would take me months to build up to that, and then by that time I always felt that other infections were flaring and getting worse because I wasn't doing anything about it for months. A couple times I thought my worsening symptoms were a herx, so I'd stop taking an herb and wait a few days for it to get better, but it never did, and then going back on the low dose of 1 herb, I wouldn't feel any relief from symptoms.
So I decided to try low dose combination herbs instead. I recently started on 1/4th of a drop of houttuynia, CSA, and japanese knotweed together every day about a week ago. And I feel horrendous lol. I was wondering if I could react to such small amounts? I wasn't sure and tried 1/3 drop of each one day and had strong reactions, but I wasn't even sure if that was a big enough increase to tell if I was reacting to the herbs or not. Like do I need to try 1 drop of each at least? And do that multiple times a day? It just seems crazy to me that I would react so strongly to these tiny doses. Is that possible? Now I'm only taking 1/8th of a drop of each herb every day, and even typing that I'm like... 1/8th of a drop? So would 1/8th of a drop of these herbs together help or hinder me? Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm so sensitive to things, so I guess its possible, but it seems wild to me that I can't take more than that.
It might be important to know that I am severely ill, like bedridden, no going anywhere or doing anything, I can't cook for myself and need help bathing. So taking a higher dose of these herbs together, like even trying 3 drops of each together and then reacting extremely poorly, is something I would like to avoid.
Also, I do several things for detoxing and supplements, glutathione, dry brushing, epsom salt baths, TUDCA, milk thistle, apple cider vinegar, lemon water, I take hawthorn, a good quality probiotic, Vitamin D, B12, methylated folate, melatonin, CBD, collagen, no dairy, gluten or refined sugars. I'm sure there are a few other things I can't think of right now.
