I'm a natural health kind of person.
Yes, tick-borne diseases absolutely can and sometimes do cause dental issues. Ask me how I know.
You started the Cowden protocol. When did the dental pain start? It could be die-off. I suggest talking with your doc. about
that (if you have one).
There are two, now competing camps in the natural health world about
which material to use to pack/fill a dental abscess.
Camp 1 says: Don't use Gutta Percha, the original material dentists have used for decades to fill abscesses. They say it's highly toxic, and should be avoided, esp by those with impaired immune systems. They claim it can make Lymies sicker. They suggest you use an alternative ( I can't remember the name or find the article right now) that is made from some mineral.
Camp 2: says: No, you absolutely should use Gutta Percha. They say that the new material, made of minerals, does not live up to its reputation as biologically inert, and can strain your immune system. They say you should stick with Gutta Percha.
There's a documentary somewhere called "Root Problem" that discusses this in detail. Highly recommended.
Also, I recommend reading this:
https://myholisticdentist.com/2018/05/23/how-to-resolve-a-root-canal-infection-a-pardigm-shift/Among other things, this strongly urges you to use a dentist who does laser treatment of the whole abscess with a laser that can "reach" into as many microscopic tubules as possible. This helps ensure any bad bacteria are killed before filling the tooth, so you don't risk slowly developing another infection. My dentist did that and it worked out great. Of course, that's a sample size of n=1.
Hope this helps.
