Tafenoquine is one of the newer drugs to be tried for Babesia
it is used for resistant /recurrent malaria - which has some of the same mechanisms of persistence as Babesia - and therefore seems like a good bet for difficult to treat Babesia.
especially when used alongside fibrinolytic and other anti-malarials / anti-babesia drugs - in combinations - as some LLMD's are now doing
it makes sense to me to tackle babesia as there is a good deal of evidence that
1- ticks that transmit lyme are very often co-infected with babesia
2-babesia when present is known to be very immune suppressive - and since ultimately its your immune system that has to fight off these infections - this is a very plausible mechanism by which previous treatments might have failed
more info on a tafenoquine based protocol here - see 3rd link on the page
https://www.hormonerestoration.com/powerpoint.htmlgood luck with the protocol and please do keep us informed of progress
tafenoquine is hard to source so if any one knows of an available / generic source it would be interesting to know
