CCI and Lyme disease

I see a chiro who I see monthly now (maintenance)
to align the axis that continually goes out if I don’t see him regularly.

I did get diagnosed with Lyme and CO’s afterwards - like a year later??

My Lyme doc has been seeing significant correlation I believe. I was screened for it and had strange results. Like all the numbers improved to picture perfect on scans with invasive traction, but not enough of my symptoms did. We’re currently investigating Eagle’s syndrome.

I recently got diagnosed with Lyme but pretty sure I have had it for 15+ years. about 5 years ago I went to a chiropractor and got adjusted pretty aggressively and have not been the same. I’ve been dealing with lots of neck, head pain and some neurological symptoms off and on. Just had DMX imaging done to check for CCI, still waiting for the full report but the doctor that did it said I definitely have CCI.

My LLMD had a patient from Germany. She moved here temporally to be on his IV protocol. He sent her to the chiro I use. Somehow she ended up at a doctor who was doing a new surgery for CCI. After doing that all her lyme symptoms disappeared. So all her symptoms were due to this rather than lyme. She stopped treatment and went back to Germany.

My story is long, but I will try and condense it as much as possible.

I have had Lyme symptoms since 2015 (none of which made us think "Lyme disease"), the most debilitating of which has been a 24/7 tension-style headache. After seeing a bazillion doctors and not getting answers, I got upright MRI's done. They were read as 'normal', but we took them to a reputable neurosurgeon who pointed out the massive instability and that a bone was pushing into my brain stem, and immediately diagnosed me with CCI.

I had seen a chiropractor for about 6 months before discovering CCI, and looking back, we believe that and the combination of the collagen-attacking Lyme bacteria caused the CCI.

I had C0-C3 fused at age 17 mid-2020. The slipped bone is fixed and some of the air hunger has gone away along with the faint feeling when I would look up or down for too long, but the headache, dysautonomia, etc. have not improved at all. If anything, I am worse now than before surgery. I discovered I have Lyme in October of 2022.

My neck is still very weak (as is my entire body - I can't do PT at the moment as Lyme is debilitating me) and my surgeon said that I need C4-6 fused now. But I am not moving forward with that and just focusing on treating Lyme.

I avoid chiropractors like the plague. Lyme has weakened my joints and my collagen and my muscles are chronically tight in order to hold things in place.
