So this is a story I heard about someone else not me.

Some people here might find this quite interesting as I did.

When I was at the dentist last week, the hygienist cleaning my teeth I was talking about how important it is to floss regularly so that your gums do not bleed, not just about plaque.

She was emphasizing on the fact that oral bacteria can get into your blood from bleeding gums. They are really studying this now.

She told me a story of one of her patients who got sick last winter and ended up getting IV antibiotics. This patient was actually lucky enough to have a doctor do a blood culture growth. The doctor found common oral bacteria in his blood if that gets to your heart, they can damage your heart valves.

She knows I had lime my comment to the oral hygienist was that this guy was super lucky to find a doctor willing to do a blood culture. I told her he must’ve went to some type of natural path doctor. She said no just a normal doctor doing his job and I mention normal doctors would not do that in the USA.

I just find this amazing that this guy had a doctor that did a blood culture. He really lucked out or he was a smart guy who pushed for this test as this is probably not a normal insurance covered test in the United States.

If so-called normal doctors did this everybody here that went to a normal doctor for their illness before they figure it out it was from ticks would’ve had a blood culture test of some type done.

Anybody here have any clue as to what type of culture test? This doctor would’ve done for this patient. Just sounds like a good test to do but it’s pretty generic.

The only blood culture test I ever had was the Lyme culture by advanced labs in northeast USA after my anabiotic’s use. So nothing came up, which is what my LLMD was looking for.

A relative of mine almost died about five years ago from staff infection that moved into his heart deteriorating one valve. At the various last minute they figure this out, and he had to have open-heart surgery, and a heart valve replacement

Prior to that complaining with symptoms. Doctors thought it was some sort of immune problem and rheumatologist gave him some steroids. In a couple of days he started getting very weak in a much worse condition. Turns out the steroids were speeding up the staff infection that moved its way into his heart.

check out videos from dr nordquist on utoob. i think the one the now correlate to heart disease is also a spirochete called treponema denticola . many dogs and their owners have this . in the videos he shows what substances had what effect on cultures with a phase contrast microscope . i got to borrow a phase for a while but only did blood samples not saliva

Yeah. I asked for a culture of my sinus infection last year. The doctor said she couldn’t do it because there wasn’t anything she could see to suction out. I said I could cough something up, but she said that wouldn’t work. Don’t know why that wouldn’t work, but at least she was willing if the conditions had been right. She’s a PA not an MD, and a very thorough and communicative one.

My cousin’s husband had repeated UTI’s, and they just kept giving him the same abx over and over. Finally, a different doctor did a culture and found the effective abx for the bacteria he had. So much wasted time, money, and health deterioration.
