I'm watching Sunlight: Optimize Health and Immunity (Light Therapy and Melatonin) and find it pretty interesting.

Check out this brief clip about Near Infrared Radiation. The video should begin at time 1:10:21. If not, manually advance the video to that time.

There's other good stuff in the video, too.

If you click the chapter name (e.g. "Intro," "The Solar Spectrum," etc.) next to the time counter in the lower left of the video, a "Chapters" window should open next to the video and allow navigation of the individual chapters.

I have not watched the video but studied this a lot. Yes sunlight is very important. I make sure to get sun exposure every morning even if it's raining outside. Also use ir sauna and low level laser therapy. And make sure to spend time in nature multiple times a week.

I get a ton of sunlight living in the south and living in my car. Probably too much sunlight. Sometimes I get sunburned. Yesterday, I ended up cutting the grass and edging even though it was very hot and humid. Felt like the heat index was in the 90’sF. I sweated more yesterday than I have in a long time.

I remember Real Food Rebel, Brenda, focused on sunlight, too. She ended up living near the beach in Mexico.

The point of the short clip was that one doesn't have to be in the sun to get near-infrared radiation. While the sun is rich in near-infrared radiation, the light reflected off the green of leaves and grass is even more rich in near-infrared radiation.
