Strength loss in one side of the body

Anyone here sometimes have some kind of strength loss on one side of your body? Sometimes it's my left arm, somtimes it's my left arm and my left leg. It's a weird feeling. I can still do everything, it's just feels like there is some strength loss. But it's just one side, that's weird.

I never had this before. Has been happening a couple times since last month. I'm unsure if this is Lyme and co, covid or (hopefully not) brain damage from my cavernoma.

one of two others over the years too i think - went away with treatment

Yup - my left arm is weaker than my right.
Since I fully treated Lyme et al
its much stronger now. I am lifting weights to boost my strength
I also had terrible pain on my upper left side.

Lyme et al was worse on my upper body than my lower.

Was it all the time? Mine is only sometimes, for a couple minutes or an hour or two. It has only happened three or four times so far.

Would be a relief if it is "just Lyme".

my fiancé also had lyme at the same time as me

she lost the use of first one arm then the other for 4-6 weeks each -
was a lot pf pain - and weakness
was a crazy thing - but it gradually returned

Lyme is famous for something called Radiculopathy - it normally affects only one nerve at a time - but as above seems to be able to affect a whole side also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/lymphocytic_meningoradiculitis#

can be facial/cranial nerves, eg bells palsy - or arms or legs etc - even the vagus nerve i think

CNS symptoms, fever and Radiculopathy were the triad of symptoms known as Bannwarth's syndrome - which was the name given to lyme disease symptoms after tick bite in Europe, before the causative infectious agent borrelial burgdorferi was discovered in the 1970's

I had that on the left side of my body. And then it tightened up. I lived that way for about 15, 20 years I was still functional it’s just that on the right side of my body basically had a drag along the left side with it. It wasn’t that bad, but it certainly wasn’t normal.

I’m very well-versed in the many different variations of muscle release and chiropractic that helped after Lyme disease was treated however, it did not completely correct it.

My body basically got stuck like that, and it adapted, becoming the new normal. That can happen. Everybody knows somebody who has a slight limp, and that person might not even be aware of it.

So what did they finally help after everything under the sun or some thing I never tried before, but I should have years ago that was acupuncture. It actually moved some of the tension from my left shoulder to the right shoulder. During that time I had to completely change my workouts to very low weights. Now I’m slowly building back up, if I have tension the next two days after working out, I know I reached my new increased weight limit and to not go further for a while. Muscle soreness after working out is normal, tension not really. There is a difference.

Yup! I had the left side of my body go very suddenly weak/tingly. My arm is still residually weak, 3 years after that incident, but doing better.

Re:weakness - it was all the time. My pain was constant but sometimes it was worse.

But now I’m on remission and have been lifting weights to strengthen my upper left side.

temporary coming or going sounds more like "breakaway failure"

Dr SP describes this in his bartonella patient population

it involves sudden lack of strength occurring in a body part - an arm or leg typically - often resulting in say unexpectedly falling down - losing balance or dropping things.

typically this is sudden - no warning - may be painful or painless - then a few minutes later strength returns as mysteriously as it went away

being bartonella it may be circulation related - or possibly peripheral nerve related
