my fiancé also had lyme at the same time as me
she lost the use of first one arm then the other for 4-6 weeks each -
was a lot pf pain - and weakness
was a crazy thing - but it gradually returned
Lyme is famous for something called Radiculopathy - it normally affects only one nerve at a time - but as above seems to be able to affect a whole side also
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/lymphocytic_meningoradiculitis#can be facial/cranial nerves, eg bells palsy - or arms or legs etc - even the vagus nerve i think
CNS symptoms, fever and Radiculopathy were the triad of symptoms known as Bannwarth's syndrome - which was the name given to lyme disease symptoms after tick bite in Europe, before the causative infectious agent borrelial burgdorferi was discovered in the 1970's
