Tiny cuts in hands

but i did read recently that one of the lesser know symptoms of Lyme is shedding of skin on hands and feet - that was a new one to me.

i have seen bart patients describe fine scratches that bleed - usually on arms or legs - look exactly like a thorn or something has scratched the surface just enough for it to bleed - but they are adamant nothing like that has happened - so its a v strange thing.

yours look like they are deeper cuts or cracks in the skin - and are mainly where the skin flexes and stretches when you move you hands

both lyme and bart cause breakdown on collagen in the skin -
lyme is well known to break down collagen - which is a key protein that gives skin its toughness and flexibility
Dr Marna Ericson ( works with Prof Ed Breitschwerdt et al ) describes laser confocal microscopy images of stained bart infected patients skin with bart clustered on the collagen bundles in skin tissue.

so this would be my best guess as to cause

you could try collagen supporting supplements - esp if your diet is low/lowish in animal protein sources
-collagen powder supplement dissolved in hot water and taken as a drink to supply the necessary proteins to offset what bart/lyme consume -
-vitamin C - helps support the antioxidant pathways / reduces inflammation and is needed for collagen synthesis
- Buhner lyme herbs - these reduce the inflammatory cytokines that cause breakdown of collagen and other structural proteins by lyme ( Buhner has a section in his Healing Lyme book that gives a collagen protection protocol )
