An interesting article in The Atlantic yesterday mentioned monocolonal antibodies and JAK inhibitors being used to treat eczema with great success. They are targeting specific parts of the immune system rather than shutting down the immune system more broadly, like the previous treatments (including steroids) do. The article links to studies about the use of these drugs in other inflammatory chronic conditions, and I was wondering if anyone has heard of them being used as an adjunctive treatment for chronic tick-borne disease.
