Cloudy urine

I am peeing out crazy amounts of the cloudy white urine when I herx. It is so opaque that I often can't see the bottom of the toilet.

Just what is coming out is somewhat of a mystery, although I suspect it's components of borrelia biofilm.

Research has shown that borrelia burgdorferi biofilm is predominately composed of an alginate with calcium and extracellular DNA present.

So I'm wondering if the white stuff is calcium compounds? I am occasionally getting symptoms of hypercalcemia, mostly stomach acid. Surprisingly I have not gotten any large kidney stones from this.

The presence of DNA in biofilm also explains why borrelia burgdorferi phosphorylates acyclovir so readily.

Yeah, if I take rifampin, my pee will be orange a few hours later, then it's gone.

If I take valacyclovir, I will herx for a week and pee out a whole bunch of crud. There is no way that one or two pills of valtrex could account for that much stuff coming out. This happens with anything that kills borrelia, and not just valtrex.

I particularly notice the cloudy urine in the morning. It seems to be detoxing that happens overnight.

How do you know that valtrex breaks biofilm?

I suspect it does, since research on bacterial biofilm (not specific to borrelia) suggests that the extracellular DNA is an important structural component of the biofilm, and acyclovir inhibits the DNA polymerase.
