This is flaring so badly with treatment for me among many other things. It's excruciating.
Is it safe to say that's bartonella?

Its really hard to tell where pain is coming from. Our pain feelers can be tricky sometimes.
Without definite positive tests (rare) its hard to pinpoint what tick illness one has. And rarely do people have only one.
This is why many LLMD's treat you for nearly everything known to the geographical area where ticks latched on you..
If youve done your best to detox, then treat your painfull symptoms with epsome salt baths , variations of magnessium (topical, oral ect)
.
Im sure others have more pain help supplement ideas.

as astroman says - there is quite a bit of overlaps and its near impossible to tell which infection causes which symptom - but it sounds like its likely Bartonella to me - as its kind of infamous for this type of stuff
it also tends to increase when you are treating it - which i think you are at the moment - so that fits.
i have some milder version of this going on myself right now. its tolerable - but noticeable it flares when i take a pulse of abx
anyway, it may not be important to know which bug is causing it - as long as you are on a decent program - and gradually moving forward - all symptoms will eventually fade
i don't know of a direct cure for the pain / discomfort - other than to persevere with the treatment at a pace you can manage. Epsom salt baths are worth a go.
and general detoxification type stuff seems to help some people with herx signs

Bone pain was one of my symptoms.
I had trouble sitting because my tailbone was sore.
I believe it was from Bartonella.
