Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've updated here. about a month ago, I completed 15 IV ozone treatments. The specific type of treatment I received is called MAH - they take some of your blood out, mix it with the ozone, and drip it back into you. It took 7 or 8 treatments for me to notice a positive impact. We gradually increased the dose of ozone each time and I definitely experienced some herxing - extreme brain fog, fatigue, and full-body feeling of weakness. That never lasted long for me, usually no longer than a day after the treatment.
After the initial 7 or so treatments, my symptoms started improving. My biggest symptoms have been a headache and sore throat that will not go away. I've had both for 8 years and nothing has ever helped the pain. My average numbers on the pain scale (0-10) before ozone therapy was 6 in the morning, 8 in the afternoon, and 6 in the evening. Now, I'm at 3-4 in the morning, 6 in the afternoon, and 3-4 in the evenings. My headache remains constant, but it is much more bearable. Sore throat continues to go up and down in terms of soreness.
I found a local clinic to me that offers IV ozone saline treatments, so I've switched to getting those. I've done about 6 now, and they continue to bring positive benefits like the MAH. I believe I'm getting less ozone with the saline version, but the impact is still great.
When the ozone therapy started helping, the relief would last only three days, but gradually it's increased to five days and now nine days. I'm always able to tell when the effects have worn off due to my pain levels increasing significantly.
Only downfall is that the cost of these IV treatments is expensive, so I'm trying to figure out and learn how to do ozone therapy at home.
On another note - negative for EBV and CMV. My ND was incredibly surprised as he said all of his patients usually have active EBV. Looks like my year of Lyme fighting is making a difference!!
