If you have read past threads on this, then I'm sure you have read about my experience, but here's a summary.
I had two root canal-treated teeth, one of which had been causing issues for a decade and had become intolerably painful. Multiple endodontists told me the tooth looked completely normal on x-rays and conebeam scans, and they hurt nearby teeth with ice and electrodes, concluding that I should leave it alone. I found a holistic dentist to extract it, and there was a pea-size pocket of infection attached to the side of the root. I instantly felt lighter. The pain was gone, and of course my immune system no longer was irritated by the presence of dead tissue and foreign substances. I have had a single-tooth denture there for nearly five years now. Totally fine.
Around this time, I got MUCH better rapidly. I had also begun doing DNRS limbic system retraining and treating MCAS in the same two-week span, so it's impossible to know how much of my drastic improvement was from the infected root canal-treated tooth extraction versus from the other interventions.
The other root canal-treated tooth hasn't presented any issues, and I was able to get much better with it there, so I'm going to leave it alone unless that changes. The endodontist who did it was excellent, for what that's worth. The dentist who did the first one was sketchy and awful, but that's a different story.
