We all know this can be caused by many reasons related to everything that these tick infections do to your body, hormones, stress, all kinds of things. And this also does not need to be related to tick infections at all. Plenty of people around the world have insomnia.
What I’d like to avoid in this post is sleep apnea because that is something completely different. Sleep apnea is a physical change in the structure of your breathing airway. It is not body chemical related at all.
So I decided to make this post because unfortunately for the last month, I’ve been getting insomnia again.
My thyroid is also a little bit off from a recent test, but I’m not quite certain that is the reason. The NP brand of desiccated thyroid is now known to have quality issues repeatedly. Same thing goes for armor and it’s double the cost. So if this is Thyroid related, it will take me a month to resolve it.
For about
five years prior to this month I fell asleep about
a couple minutes after my head hit the pillow. That was great. On the other hand, having the ability to sleep a full eight hours was very rare because of my body soreness would wake me up. So I got used to 4 to 6 hours a night and that worked I go to sleep late because that’s when I would be tired, I am a late night person and there’s no changing this. That’s the way I am. late night people and morning people probably secretively think each other is weird but we have to accept the fact that we are just made different.
It was my belief that my circadian rhythm was off for at least a decade or two when my tick infections were most active. And now it seems like it’s off again. the Benadryl that normally works to put me to sleep no longer does. I also tried one of those odd homeoapathy, supplements, with some sort of weird named chemicals in it, that I can’t even begin to pronounce where they have the power multiplier after them, yeah, that stuff is weird I never understood it, anyway, it used to work now it doesn’t
So what I’m currently experiencing is a very relaxed state of slightly drifting in and out of an awake state and then may be a slight dreamy state for a few minutes drifting in and out of this all night long. When I wake, I am very much aware that I was just in a slight dream for only a couple minutes. I actually remember it. My heart is not pounding I do not seem to be stressed. I am just in this weird state in between sleeping and awake.
The weird thing is, I’m not super sleepy during the day. But I’m not completely alert
either. My brain is slow.
If it’s vitamin D related, I should know tomorrow because even though it’s winter, it’s unusual, very warm 30°F and sunny today,..so warm enough to take a walk in the sun.
I am been getting much physical activity lately that might have something to do with it, I doubt it though.
It’s weird that I can go 3 to 4 days with really terrible sleep repeat all the same things I did during the day and then all of a sudden I will sleep great one night, which makes no sense since nothing else changed.
I just googled insomnia treatment for the first time in a long time and there are some different things on the Internet now than there used to be.
Harvard of all places has an online app that they say is guaranteed to get you back to sleeping again. It’s called stellar sleep, you can Google it easily. It’s apparently psychological-based which is what they say On the website. There’s no mention of meditation. Meditation does nothing for me. My brain cannot fool itself lol.
If there are any other unusual supplements or treatments that you have discovered that worked, that is not commonly known by others, by all means, post it here.
