No my doctor could actually see the nystagmus when she assessed me physically at the office. I am going to ask her at my appointment on the 29th if I need to make an appointment with my eye doctor.
Vertigo is the very sudden sensation that I am going to pass out and feel like I'm having a major anxiety episode. My jaw has been getting very tight for the last 6 months or so, and the vertigo starts up when that happens, so the motion of eating has brought it on and moved my head the wrong way. A doctor at the ER in October diagnosed it with nystagmus as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). The inside of my head feels like it's spinning, and my heart starts racing when it happens cause it scares me. Mine doesn't happen after I eat or before it's right as I start and when I'm chewing if my jaw is tight. I am much too young for postprandial hypotension, too, being only in my 30s. The dizziness with eating has happened 3 times in all. I will ask the doctor about it. They say postprandial hypotension virtually never happens outside of the geriatric population. However, I have heard MCAS and such can bring on these symptoms.
Yeah, my hormones are a mess, and when my thyroid levels out, that seems to be the only time lately when it's not a problem. I wonder about MCAS also, as this morning, I woke up with an asthma attack, and my immune system is down right now due to a UTI and taking Macrobid and a little Bactrim.
It's certainly all freaking me out right now. Thanks for your help with it!
