but if the processes that are driving the micro clotting and amyloid ( also pretty much part of the clotting cascade ) are still ongoing - then you would logically expect it to build up again afterwards

that said - if it helps quality of life and is accessible - i would say its worth a go

Elevated amyloid and microclotting are typical in long COVID/PASC. There's a lot of medical literature about this as a result. So far it seems like people are treating it with drugs and seeing significant symptom resolution, but as Garzie pointed out, you'd need ongoing treatment until the underlying cause is addressed. I hope the apheresis is helpful!

I got symptoms of microclotting. Many bruises, and poor circulation that felt like I slept on my arm.

People often blame bartonella for this, but I got it from borrelia too.

Bartonella is known to cause hemolysis and to affect VEGF, so there is an obvious risk there.

Even though borrelia does not directly affect the blood in this way, the large aggregates that these bacteria form seem to put pressure on the blood vessels and physically occlude blood circulation. I had a surprising amount of trouble with it.

yep - if you look at my microscopy thread - you will see that 9 out of 10 slides of my blood are entirely clear - no sign of infection - then the 10th slide is full of clearly bartonella infected cells, clots, aggregates of platelets etc - sometimes 1 slide in 15 - despite me being rather sick at that time - and also despite many months of bartonella herbs, methylene blue etc.

the explanation is that most of the bartonella is not freely floating around in the blood - or even inside red blood cells that are being pumped around and available to be taken out with a hypodermic for apheresis - but lodged clumps in the small blood vessels - and exist intracellularly inside the endothelial cells that line the blood vessels - so unfortunately these cant be accessed for apheresis.

borrelia are 99% living in the tissues - just occasionally hitching a ride in the blood stream

Babesia are mainly in the blood - but sequester in the small blood vessels and stick themselves there with fibrin etc - so again inaccessible.

i do not mean to be negative - just explain the lifecycle of the infections a little more - and even given the above - it may well still help - as anything that lowers the load of toxins, free floating bacteria, activated platelets etc is all reducing the load on the system

the above is just why i think it can only be partially helpful

Please let us know how you get on if you do apheresis! You might need a number of treatments as one might not be enough. Where will you be doing it? Germany? I am keen to try it but they don’t do it in the UK

Also if you haven’t already then maybe check out triple coagulation therapy - it’s a treatment for the microclots found in long covid

Either cyprus or Germany, both have good clinics for apheresis.

He diagnosed it Symptom based and through the presence of SAA in my blood. He Said it makes it quite likely. Also my microscopy has some weird Long Fibrills....

I have gotten an appointment for a preparing talk. The doctor will tell me everything about the possible side effects, I will get a contract, some stuff to read etc and they will draw blood.

After I agreed to everything I have read and my blood tests are okay they gonna do it.

Approximatly 2 months from now I will get it. The preparing appt is in 1 month.

I CANT BELIEVE I AM ACTUALLY DOING IT. I am so excited haha.
